Systancia announces merger with French software publisher Avencis

PARIS - Oct. 18, 2016 - PRLog -- After acquiring the company IPdiva, Systancia is preparing to finish off a new external growth operation. The French software publisher of virtualization and cybersecurity software is finalizing its merger with Avencis, a software publisher specializing in password management, authentication and identity management. The goal is to create an European IT champion providing the next generation of application delivery infrastructures focusing on user and security.

Boasting growth of 658% over the past business years, the BpiFrance* Label of Excellence, the recent certification and qualification from ANSSI** for its cybersecurity offer, Systancia is definitely one of the rising European players in the field. In order to support this growth and provide themselves with the means of its ambitions, the software publisher has come together with Avencis, one of the leaders in single authentication and identity management. After a signed firm engagement, the merger of the two entities will be effective in the upcoming days.

With about twenty employees, Avencis is a company created in 2001 in Paris. It has more than 150 clients of all sizes (from 100 to more than 200,000 users) in France and abroad, to whom it offers solutions to control and track access to information systems, single authentication (Single Sign-on) systems and full identity management (IAM). It is truly recognized by the experts in these areas, especially with the France Cybersecurity label given to its SSOX offer.

Today, Systancia has 59 employees and provides solutions for application and desktop virtualization and access security for information systems.

"After a significant development phase both in terms of innovation and commercial success, it was important for Avencis to set new goals. The merger with Systancia, which we've known for several years, was a obvious next step considering our shared ambition in several areas," says David Wonner, President of Avencis. "Avencis provides references in domains where Systancia wasn't present, the banking and insurance sector, for example, and Systancia provides us with a company structure at a scale that will allow us to better satisfy our clients while remaining at a human-sized dimension," says Frédéric Pierre, General Manager of Avencis.

"I think it's hard to imagine a merger that is more complementary that the one we're doing with Avencis, and that it's hard to give more meaning to the word 'merger' as teams that already know eachother share the same values and passions. With our 80 talents combined, our 600 clients on every continent, our 3 ranges of products recognized for their quality and innovation, we are prepared to take on new frontiers," explains Christophe Corne, the Founder and President of the Board for Systancia.

All the employees and the two managers of Avencis will remain in the structure: David Wonner, the Founder and President of the Board for Avencis will become the Chief Technology Officer of Systancia, while Frédéric Pierre, the General Manager of Avencis, will take the position of Scientific Director, especially in charge of developing technological partnerships, reinforcing the policy for patents and for partnerships with research laboratories.

Following the merger, Systancia is planning on accelerating its presence internationally.
