Tommy Ford, from the Martin Show, in New TV Drama

CLEVELAND - Oct. 17, 2016 - PRLog -- As the nation mourns the passing of actor Tommy Ford, best known for his stand-out role in the hit television show Martin, little is known about his involvement with the youth and his community. Tommy was an active humanitarian and youth advocate who continued to work his passion in acting, while mentoring others in the field. After reading an edgy and thought provoking script for a new TV drama called The Land: FAU, Tommy decided to take on the role of "Sergeant Royal Adams."  In what will lamentably now be one of his final new TV roles.

The Land: FAU is a cop drama where a special police unit set in Cleveland, OH is assembled to capture high profile fugitives within the city. According to The Land: FAU's Facebook page the show tackles all the issues that affect disadvantaged communities such as sex trafficking, systematic racism and an unfair criminal justice system. The show aims to also present positive solutions and provide tangible resources to viewers who find themselves faced with the highlighted challenges.

"It's one of the reasons Tommy was so excited about being a part of our series" stated Dominique Paramore, the show's creator. "He shared our belief with immense passion that entertainment should be used to change lives. Our entire cast and crew is beyond honored to have begun this journey with Tommy and humbled to have the opportunity to honor his legacy by showcasing his extraordinary performance when the show premiers in 2017."
