MIAMI - Oct. 17, 2016 - PRLog -- Now, in its eleventh year, the top rated Women's International Film & Arts Festival (WIFF) features up to 30 films from around the world that are by women or about women. WIFF is known for its continued mission to address and bring solutions to the lack of representation, for too many years, of women behind the scenes in the film industry. The question supporters, members and directors of WIFF believe needs addressing is: "Why, after all these years, is it that women, still, comprise less than 20% of producers and occupy less than 5% of directorial chairs in the industry"? This number has seen very little change in the festival's 11 years. That being said, the festival producers are determined to preview these tremendous films for their diehard fans.

"Our selection of films for the 2016 season promises to amaze the most avid film buffs, indie or otherwise," said Yvonne McCormack-Lyons, President and Founder. "Our opening film surprise is guaranteed to have lines around the block and the women of South Florida front and center," she smiled.

Our #WIFFMiami2016 line-up includes films from USA, Canada and India, just to name a few, plus much more. Sample some of our feature films from #WIFFMiami2016:
