DROUGHT, a series of paintings - Issue of water scarcity

"In the absence of water nature dies, leaving behind detritus. It is my model. I want to call to all of us: Save our earth before it's too late! I plan to present my paintings at exhibitions in Europe and USA." Said Jolanta Johnsson.

Through this project, She also aims to contribute directly to water conservation by auctioning off one of her paintings and donating the proceeds to the Polish World Wildlife Fund's "Rivers for Life" project. Climate change is a global problem, but its manifestations are local, and so we need to support local initiatives like "Rivers for Life" that combat ecological devastation.

Jolanta Johnsson's work is a very humanistic narrative. The author is really interested in two issues only: human and nature. The dynamics of her artistic path are due to the fact that at certain times one theme dominates over the other, is more and more explored and more impassions the painter. The recent Johnsson's landscape paintings stand out against her previous achievements with the choice of colors and the method of applying them. This change is another determinant of the dynamics of the author's paintings.

Jolanta Johnsson in a creative way refers to neo impressionism, colorism, and expressionism. In her paintings, centered around the theme "a man in space", she shows the human as creature condemned to profound loneliness, even in relationships with other people. Her painting combines with the philosophy of existentialism, in which a person is recognized as free, condemned of the necessity of choice and responsibility creature. It leads to the feeling of fear, hopelessness of existence in the world of alienation and suffering.

The fund raised will pay for the following expenses: She is planning to paint 40 large paintings. The whole costs of the painting process (paint, canvases, renting a studio) are approximately 5000 dollars and then to show the series "Drought" at prominent galleries in Poland, Sweden, Germany and USA. The remaining $ 5,000 will help her to finance the costs of transport (packing, insurance and shipping) and cost of producing promotional materials (brochures, catalogs).
