PANAMA CITY - Oct. 17, 2016 - PRLog -- Lombardi Aguilar Group partner Jorge Lombardi-Dutari will be a speaker at a panel discussion during the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) International Section seasonal meeting in Paris, France.  The meeting will be held on October 19-21, 2016, at the St. James Hotel.

Dr Lombardi will be a panelist of the session on "CRS (Common Reporting Standards) and Automatic Exchange of Information: Issues for the Wealth Management Industry" on Friday, October 21, from 2:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Other panelists will be Glenn Fox, Michael Galligan (both from New York, US), Pedro Pais De Almeida (Portugal), Abel Francisco Meija Consenza (Mexico), and David Russell (Dubai, UAE).

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development's (OECD) new CRS system is profoundly reshaping global wealth management. This session will be an informative discussion outlining what CRS means for wealth owners and the wealth management industry in 2016 and beyond, particularly in light of the scheduled implementation of CRS in 2017 and 2018.

Lombardi pointed out that "Panama had been for a long time executing a lot of Know-Your-Customer processes in many types of institutions so the new tendencies aren't difficult to apply. Even before the new wave of determined documents Panama has been onto this task so it is sort of a normal conclusion for our country to follow up on such practices."  His participation is very timely with the formal April 2016 commitment of Panama to implement CRS and the current debate in the legislature of bills 383 for accounting records and 384 for exchange of tax information.

Attorneys worldwide are encouraged to register for the 2016 Seasonal Meeting of the International Section, by visiting the New York State Bar Association Website at: www.nysba.org/ilpparis2016
