By: Black Girlz Productions The play is written, produced and directed by Shaneisha Dodson, the founder of Black Girlz Productions. Shaneisha Dodson was born in Arkansas and currently resides in Texas. She earned a B.A. in psychology at Grambling State University, a M.A. in counseling at Dallas Baptist University, and an Ed.S in adult learning at Walden University. Dodson has received numerous awards and accolades for her accomplishments and literary works: 2016 Black Women Are (Inspirational) The play features Marissa Collier (Atlanta, GA), J.R. Marshall (Houston, TX), Precious Merenu (Houston, TX), Ron Clemons (Dallas, TX), Sherman Johnson (Orlando, FL), and Suswella Makaso (Wylie, TX). "I am excited about the opportunity to bring my latest work to the Houston area and bring awareness to the serious issue of sexual assault. I think it's critical due to the light sentences people have been receiving lately in various rape cases. Not to mention the recent discussion in the political arena about sexual assault. I think this subject is more important than ever." says Dodson about her latest project. The play opens on Saturday, January 7, 2017 in Houston at MATCH – the Midtown Arts and Theater Center, located at 3400 Main Street, Houston, TX 77002. Curtain time is at 6:30pm local time.
