Pitt Sings for Trump at Sold Out Rally

PALM BEACH, Fla. - Oct. 14, 2016 - PRLog -- "America's Tenor arived 10 or 15 minutes late to the Trump rally Thursday, October 13th.
That's how I met Charles Pitt, both of us hovering under the ticket booth awning outside the South Florida Fairgrounds while a pelting rain fell, and Trump spoke inside.
"I was supposed to be singing the National Anthem," Pitt told me.
At first I thought he was joking, but then he gave me a sample of his voice (www.charlespitt.net) in a booming tenor that made the biding-their-time ball cap vendors and a few dozen overflow stragglers take notice.
I guess it makes sense that a guy who calls himself "America's Tenor" would sing at a rally for Trump, who never misses a chance to strike a nationalistic note.

"Are you worried that other tenors will take umbrage at you calling yourself 'America's Tenor'?" I asked.
"Well, I'm certainly not 'France's Tenor,'" he said.
Pitt said he left his Stuart home early enough to get there, but he ran some errands along the way, "had to drop off some architectural drawings for a job we're doing on Sloan's Curve in Palm Beach," then got stuck in a traffic jam that made him late. So now, he was waiting for the rain to stop, so he could go back to his day job, which is running a company that sells pre-cast concrete slabs for Americast and says he can deliver Trump's wall at a bargain price. An anthem singer in the building trade; Pitt is CEO of Americast. Now, that's something.

Pitt, who has sung the anthem (https://www.google.com/#q=charles+pitt+national+anthem) at Miami Dolphins and Palm Beach Polo games, said this was going to be his first Trump rally anthem performance

When I assumed that Pitt was a Trump supporter, he corrected me.
"I'm not crazy about the guy," Pitt said. "He's a very hard guy to like."
It's just that he dislikes Hillary Clinton more.

"My position is I want to get rid of the Washington establishment, and Hillary is completely in with them," he said.
And that's enough for Pitt, who considers himself an Independent, to vote for Trump.
"I guess I'm going to gamble with the dictator," Pitt said. "He's an egomaniac. I hope Congress will keep him in control and that his ego is big enough to make him do a decent job and, as he says, 'win for America.' "

So what would he do if Hillary Clinton's campaign had asked him to sing the National Anthem for one of her events?

"I'd do it," he said. "I'll sing anywhere. Especially if it will help close a deal....Jesus, do I sound like Trump?"
