 Country/pop/americana Artist Kelly McGrath Releases Her New Single "You And Me Today" On October 14By: Kelly McGrath Penned by McGrath and produced by Brad Hill (Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne) and Ethan Roberts (Katy Perry, Kelsea Ballerini, Selena Gomez), the poignant and infectious track is the lead single from the Nashville-based artist's upcoming EP Kites. "It's a song about the experience of living with the loss of someone and all the emotions you go through," she says. "I lost my father when I was 11, in a car accident on Father's Day, and I was inspired to write it by that and other people's stories of losing people they love. It's about what we go through and what's left of our relationship with them as we go on living our lives." Gearing up for the release of Kites, McGrath will be creating fresh buzz with performances at two Nashville Cumulus Radio Special Performances events at 3rd & Lindsley. She will be opening for rising country artist Tucker Beathard Thursday, October 27 and for superstar Jason Aldean Wednesday, November 30. The singer will also be performing Sunday, October 30 at The City Winery in Nashville as part of an IHeartRadio show that includes a live on air interview. McGrath established herself as a popular independent artist with her three previous releases, including her full length 2011 album Heartstrings. Following its release, she broke indie artist records with an astounding 85 city U.S. radio tour in 90 days, promoting her single "One Foot In Front of the Other." Several of her tracks, including "If You Could See Me Now," "Love Give Me Grace" and "Come Back Around," have been placed in films and TV shows, including the soaps "One Life To Live" and "The Young & The Restless."
