New Technology Allows NFL Fans to Call Plays Against Arizona Cardinals Coach Bruce Arians During Monday Night Football
Be The Coach is a new application that allows users to call plays against live situations in NFL games in real-time. Each play call is scored using real film breakdown data and compared to the play calling tendencies of real NFL football coaches. As game situations change during the actual game, fans will be able to make a play call on their mobile devices, iPads, tablets or computers and attempt to "outcoach" Bruce Arias and the Arizona Cardinals offensive staff.
"More than 13 million people watched Monday Night Football last week. As much as we love football, our interaction with the game is passive – we watch, hope, and follow our fantasy football teams during games," says Tom Woods, RII Sports Technology's founder. "This new application allows fans to actually take an active role in a game by reacting to live game situations and making play calls in the same way an NFL Coach would. Our technology allows fans to go behind the scenes and experience a sliver of the same stress and pressure felt by NFL Coaches as they try to make the right call."
Be The Coach is conducting open beta tests throughout the month of September; interested fans are invited to create a free account and play along during this Monday Night's Jets-Cardinals game.
