A graduate of Temple University's College of Education with a Master's in Counseling Psychology, Rita has worked tirelessly with at risk youth in Trenton, Philadelphia and New Jersey with a particular focus on women's issues and human Trafficking. She serves as a full time Psychology Professor at Rowan College in Burlington County. As a new inventor and entrepreneur, she hopes to inspire other young women and men to innovate changing their lives and communities. Washington also sits on the Ewing Drug and Alcohol Alliance, serves as Vice Chair of the Mercer County Commission on the Status of Women, as well as serves on the board of the non-profit Signs of Sobriety.   She was recently appointed by the governor of NJ to the Board of the Ann Klein Forensic Center.
