ETC…Reader's Theatre of The Naples Players Opens 15th Season

NAPLES, Fla. - Oct. 13, 2016 - PRLog -- ETC… Reader's Theatre of The Naples Players will begin its 15th season of play readings with a mix of comedy and drama on Sunday, November 5.

"Wildwood Park," written by Doug Wright and directed by Claire McKinney, has a realtor showing an unusual house to a prospective buyer who may have a rather special interest in it.

"Unwrap Your Candy," also by Doug Wright and directed by Charles Kolmann, gives us a rather unique look at an audience in a theatre during a performance.

In "A Question of Sex" by Arnold Bennett, directed by Ron Wietecha, a young man's uncle has offered a large sum of money to his nephew if his wife gives birth to a son, but what if…

In "If Hamlet Had Been a Reading" by Jules Tasca, directed by Joel Banow, William Shakespeare has just heard a reading of his new play, "Hamlet," and the audience and the actors have some helpful hints as to how to improve it.

ETC…Reader's Theatre readings consist of a series of one-act plays performed with scripts in hand and without props or costumes.  The focus is on the written word.  The readings will be presented in the Tobye Studio at The Sugden Community Theatre, 701 Fifth Avenue South, in a 2:00 p.m. matinee performance.
