Public-Private Partnership Expert Melanie Vander Valk Joins Bureau Veritas' Infrastructure Group

NEW YORK - Oct. 13, 2016 - PRLog -- Bureau Veritas North America, Inc., announced today that Melanie Vander Valk has joined the company as vice president of the Infrastructure Services Group.  In this role, Vander Valk will be responsible for growing Bureau Veritas' Infrastructure Services business and developing new product offerings and service delivery strategies to meet the needs of private and public sector clients in the construction and infrastructure industries.

From construction and asset code compliance, planning and permitting, to LEED review and certification, Bureau Veritas provides a wide range of engineering, project, construction, and asset management services, all of which help stakeholders reduce costs and minimize the risks involved with the delivery of complex infrastructure projects.

Vander Valk joins Bureau Veritas from HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions North America, one of the world's largest public-private partnership (P3) developers, where she was vice president, business relations. Prior to this role, Vander Valk founded the Executive Infrastructure Club with the British Foreign Commonwealth Office and UK Trade & Investment where she brought international experts together to share best practices in infrastructure delivery and identify solutions to challenges faced by U.S. officials across the country. She has also worked in the public sector supporting four U.S. Governors and in her eight years spent with Empire State Development Corporation, Vander Valk was responsible for accelerating several multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects and negotiating international trade and investment deals for the State of New York.

Vander Valk holds a Master's degree in public administration and international development from New York University and Bachelor's degree in economics from Laurentiané University.
