SAGE announces end of year fundraising campaign

SAN ANTONIO - Oct. 17, 2016 - PRLog -- SAGE, San Antonio for Growth on the Eastside, the organization charged with managing economic development for the 22 square mile Eastside Promise Zone has announced a $150,000 fundraising goal for the upcoming Taste the Dream Gala to be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Witte Museum Mays Family Center.

Executive Director Jackie Gorman, along with the SAGE board of directors, has selected BethanyEast PR, LLC to assist in introducing benefits of partnership and the organizations influence to institutions and brands across central Texas that have shown interest in developing the Eastside.   BethanyEast PR plans to achieve this goal by promoting corporate participation in entrepreneur enrichment programs, increasing conversations to bring more commercial entities to the area, and engaging more community members to become active in the development process.

"We are not simply looking for event partners, but for partners in development.  This campaign will invite organizations to better introduce themselves to the Eastside consumer markets, one of the most diverse markets in all of San Antonio." says Akeem Brown, SAGE Director of Operations.   "Access to technology and entrepreneurial mentorship is a large priority for SAGE in 2017 and this campaign will help to fund programs and training for business owners who are seeking to upgrade their services to fit our changing economy."

BethanyEast PR, LLC has already begun to engage potential partners via monthly "chat pitches" hosted on the Eastside.

Most recently SAGE announced Taste the Dream Gala honorary co-chairs Paula Gold-Williams, president and chief executive officer of CPS Energy, and Rosemary Kowalski, philanthropist and founder of RK Group.
