Andreas Plumbing Announces "Give the Gift of Warmth" Heater Giveaway Winner

LEHIGHTON, Pa. - Oct. 11, 2016 - PRLog -- On Monday, September 12, 2016, the owners of Andreas Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning announced Jill Berger of Albrightsville as the winner of their "Give the Gift of Warmth" Heater Giveaway in a Facebook Live video. Also in attendance were members of the Judging Committee: Bonnie George of Andreas Plumbing, Alice Wanamaker of the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation, Alicia Kline of Turn To Us, Inc. as well as Andreas' creative and marketing consultant, Dina Tulli Davis of JumpSpark Creative Group. Aggie Shehadeh of Peaceful Knights and Castle Gate Realty was also part of the Judging Committee but not in attendance.

The "Give the Gift of Warmth" Heater Giveaway ran from July 25- August 22, 2016. Its purpose was to help make life better and easier for an individual or family in need of some extra assistance and a warmer winter. The public was invited to submit their nominations of a deserving individual or family online or by mail in a 500-word essay or 3-minute video format. Nominees had to be a Pennsylvania resident age 18 or older, a homeowner and someone who is experiencing tough financial times, an illness in the family & multiple medical bills, or a job loss; a senior on a fixed income, a U.S. Veteran or single parent with children.

The judging committee chose three finalists out of more than a dozen valid entries. The final winner was chosen by Andreas Plumbing owners: Steve Mundinger and Danielle and Nathan Andreas after a personal interview process.

Danielle Andreas, Andreas Plumbing co-owner shares, "We are so excited and feel so blessed to be able to bring this gift of warmth to Jill this year. It was such a difficult decision to make as we read these essay entries and heard the stories of how so many people in our community are currently suffering many hardships.  All the glory definitely goes to God and our prayers are with them all. We would also like to thank Energy Kinetics and the Lehigh Valley Chapter of OESP Oil heat cares project who arranged for the donation of an Energy Kinetics boiler.  After seeing our campaign direct mail piece, they contacted us directly to see how they could also help. Because of their donation of the boiler, we were also able to include a new oil and well tank, which desperately needed to be replaced as well. We thank everyone who participated in this campaign and wish Jill and her family all the best! This experience has touched us so much that we hope to run the "Give the Gift of Warmth" Heater Giveaway Campaign next year and help another deserving individual or family."
