The 6th Annual RICE Awards 2016 Takes Place This Saturday

ATLANTA - Oct. 11, 2016 - PRLog -- The Rising in Community Excellence Award is given to individuals who demonstrate keen awareness about community needs. These citizens have created organizations that serve metro Atlanta. The RICE Awards takes place Saturday October 15, 2016 at City Hall Atrium. THE RISING IN COMMUNITY EXCELLENCE AWARDS (R.I.C.E)

In celebration of those individuals who work tirelessly to improve lives throughout greater Atlanta, Carter Unlimited is excited to shine a spotlight on these outstanding citizens and their organizations and bring awareness to their tremendous sacrifices and contributions.  The Rising in Community Excellence Award is given to individuals who demonstrate keen awareness about community needs and step into the fray, lending a hand and making things better. These citizens have created organizations that serve metro Atlanta. RICE Award nominees are innovative and charitable visionaries who recognize the importance of their presence and contribution to the greater Atlanta community and beyond. Nominees were selected by a panel of industry professionals, community leaders and everyday citizens. Each category is about a community leader who has used their position to develop or implement programs that have changed the face of our communities.The nominees are leaders who have used their position to develop and implement programs that have changed the face of our communities and helped people in innumerable ways.

Celebrating its sixth year the RICE Awards will honor four individuals or organizations that have gone over and beyond in the communities they serve. The honorees will receive the TORCH Award (Together Our Resources Can Help). This year's honorees are Christopher Bridges of the Ludacris Foundation, the Davis Bozeman Law Firm, Quincy L.A. Springs IV General Manager of Wal-Mart (MLK BLVD), and Thomas Dortch JR, CEO TWD Inc. In addition, the RICE Awards also nominates individuals in twelve categories Nominees were selected by a panel of industry professionals, community leaders and everyday citizens.
