Röhlig Logistics sponsors Charlie Cooksey, a rising star at Northampton Town Football Club Academy

BIRMINGHAM, U.K. - Oct. 11, 2016 - PRLog -- Röhlig UK are proud to announce their sponsorship of one of our promising footballing youngsters, Charlie Cooksey, as he plays for the Northampton Town Football Club Academy during the 2016/17 season.

Having started with the Academy aged 8 years old, Charlie, who is now in his 3rd season, enjoys the challenge that being part of this team brings. The players are all coached not only to improve their skills on the pitch but also in how they need to behave when representing the Club and acting as young ambassadors for the sport in general. The boys team travels long distances to play their matches and it's a big commitment both to regular training sessions and attending games that take the team the length and breadth of the country. Having his first official 'photoshoot' with Gary Pryke, Rohlig's UK's MD and a professional photographer at Röhlig Head Office was new to Charlie, and, as you can see, he really enjoyed his experience of being made 'famous'.

He's not only a talented footballer but he also shared with us his enthusiasm for the game and he made some predictions about the results of the next few matches and the standard of the opposition. "The Academy team boys have to take their role seriously. Monitoring their progress involves written reports every 6 weeks and a formal one to one session with the coach at Christmas and at the end of each season.
