Margaret Meg Wins Southend Talent Show
Margaret Meg from Westcliff said "I love singing and always burst into song at any chance I get, but I've always been too shy to enter any competition. It was only when my mum got the application form and told me it was for charity that I decided to enter. The other contestants were amazing but I am happy I won, but I am more happy that I was able to support an amazing cause."
Meg who tutors children in mathematics, and is herself completing her final year of her degree, beat 50 other hopefuls to get to the final and then beat the remaining finalists with her rendition of Hallelujah.
This is the 5th time the competition has been held. The final of of which was held at the Palace Theater in Westcliff on the 8th of October 2016 and raised thousands of pounds for the Southend Hospital Emergency and Resuscitation Unit.
