Carver Park Phase 1 Renovation Begins

John G. Johnson Construction Company and Richard L. Bowen + Associates partner on Johnson/Bowen LLC joint venture
 
CLEVELAND - Oct. 7, 2016 - PRLog -- Carver Park Phase 1 is currently under contract. This multi-family renovation project is a mixed finance Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) conversion project utilizing Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC). The renovation consists of  279 residential dwelling units in 46 existing buildings that are situated on approximately 19 acres within the existing Carver Park Estates, a Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority property.

The Design-Build project consists of interior and exterior renovations, demolition and replacement of the existing subfloor system, upgrades to energy efficient hot water tanks, furnaces and electrical fixtures.  This project is designed to compete with similar market rate properties and will provide new and returning residents additional safety, security and comfort for the years to come.  Additionally, the project will comply with the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS) units and Enterprise Green Communities Standards.

Led by Johnson/Bowen LLC, a joint venture between John G. Johnson Construction and Richard L. Bowen + Associates, the project schedule is an aggressive 18 months and will allow phased unit turn over and resident occupancy.
