Rohit Shetty Signs 5 Year Contract with Anil Ambani's Reliance Entertainment

NEW DELHI - Oct. 5, 2016 - PRLog -- Reliance Entertainment, the wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Group, led by Anil Ambani signed a contract deal with Rohit Shetty Productions. This partnership is signed for duration of 5 years and only final formalities and paperwork are to be completed. Rohit Shetty is one of the notable directors of Bollywood, and has kept his audience hooked to his movies through enthralling car chasing scenes, scenic beauties, dance numbers and his choice of actors who have impeccable comic timing. Though his first movie as a director was Zameen, but he rose to fame with Golmaal 1. He turned to the production line with Singham Returns co-producing the film under his banner Rohit Shetty Productions.

The partnership is said to borne positive results for Rohit Shetty camp since Reliance Entertainment will now oversee international marketing and distribution of his films which ensures wider reach and increased profits and brand building. Sources have also confirmed that with this partnership in place, success scales would tip in Rohit Shetty's direction since now he will have the liberty to make movies of his own choice that he has been wishing to. Few of the assistant directors working in his camp will also be getting opportunity to work as directors.

Reliance Entertainment has also signed an agreement overseas with the Remstar Studios. Riverstone Pictures, which is a Reliance Entertainment owned company, has agreed to finance the sci-fi thriller flick "Replicas" starring Keanu Reeves and Alice Eve. Riverstone Pictures till date has financed six films which includes Taylor Sheridan's directorial debut "Wind River" and Peter Landesman's Watergate drama "Felt," starring Liam Neeson, and is developing its own production with family film "Show Dogs," directed by Raja Gosnell, shooting in the fall.

Previously, Reliance Entertainment was also one of the top contenders for the 88th Academy Awards for the "Bridge of Spies", which it presented with Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks Pictures and Fox 2000 Pictures.
