First Company Pink is passionately committed to raising funds to support lifesaving breast cancer research. Their focus is to promote wellness and increase public awareness aligning efforts with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation aimed to fund clinical and translational research, and seek prevention before a cure is needed. Remaining diligent, inspired, persistent and committed to reaching their goal, First Company Pinks annual Pink Pumpkin Patch Festival unites families and communities promoting fun and unity, all in an effort to raise public awareness and help put an end to this dreadful disease. About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of their lifetime and in 2016, an estimated 246,660 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S., along with 61,000 new cases of non-invasive (in situ) breast cancer. About 2,600 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in men in 2016, and a man's lifetime risk of breast cancer is about 1 in 1,000. Statistics like these are the reason First Company Pink and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation are stepping in to help fight back.
