TRENTON, N.J. - Oct. 4, 2016 - PRLog -- GeoEnergy Alternatives is proud to announce GA-Xtra™ grout has met the stringent water safety standards of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and is now approved for use as a borehole sealant in New Jersey.

GA-Xtra™ is a one-bag grout designed specifically for use in vertical closed loop Ground Heat Exchangers for geothermal HVAC systems. It has excellent flow characteristics and is easy to place with modern grouting equipment. It features a one-hour or better working time and is easy to clean off equipment. Because it is a low-strength material when cured, GA-Xtra™ is easy to excavate and remove from loop pipes.

GA-Xtra™ grout is environmentally friendly and has been certified to NSF Standard 60, Chemicals Used in the Treatment of Drinking Water. It features a negligible heat of hydration, so it won't harm HDPE or PEX loops. GA-Xtra™ is non-corrosive and non-electrochemically reactive, so it is compatible with copper- or stainless steel loop pipes or plates. It is a non-shrinking, non- cracking sealant that is impervious to salt water attack.

GA-Xtra™ delivers a thermal conductivity (k) of 1.0 BTUs/hr-ft2 with no complicated additives.

GA-Xtra™ can be used in New Jersey as an alternative to Mix 111.

GA-Xtra™: Simplicity.  Compliance.  Performance.
