Follow on Google News | Help Send Care Packages to Troops Deployed OverseasBy: PLUR Foundation Plurfoundation.org NEWS RELEASE October 4, 2016 Contact: Website: For Immediate Release Help Send Care Packages to Troops Deployed Overseas Our military service men and women make the ultimate sacrifices for our country by leaving their families, friends, homes, and communities to protect the rights and freedoms of our nation's citizens. Most of the little things we take for granted here at home are greatly missed and longed for by our troops overseas. Receiving a care package filled with food, entertainment, hygiene, and handmade items can boost the morale of our troops and prove our gratitude and appreciation when our troops need it most. As part of PLUR Foundation's monthly group volunteering event, PLUR Foundation is partnering with Operation Gratitude, whose "mission is to lift the spirits and meet the evolving needs of the Military and First Responder communities, and provide volunteer opportunities for civilians anywhere in America to express their appreciation to all who serve our nation." On October 15th, help us help them by assembling military care packages that will be sent to deployed troops overseas. This is a family-friendly event and volunteers ages 12+ are welcome. Operation Gratitude is anticipating 500+ volunteers so come ready to meet new people and make new friends. -more- Packages 2 For more information and if you'd like to participate, please visit the event page PLUR Foundation: Care Package Volunteer Day (https://www.facebook.com/ Date/Time: Saturday, October 15, 2016, 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Location: Operation Gratitude Address: 21100 Lassen Street, Chatsworth, CA 91211 Volunteer space is limited, so please RSVP by visiting the event page (https://www.facebook.com/ -end- End
