CINCINNATI - Oct. 3, 2016 - PRLog -- In an effort to provide college students with a design and software development background an opportunity to work with Cincinnati startups, the Greater Cincinnati Venture Association (GCVA) (http://www.gcva.com) will collaborate with Collegiate Code (http://collegiatecode.com), a student-run startup out of Miami University, to produce "Bounty Week" from October 10th - October 21st.

Through the Collegiate Code platform, startups create cash "bounties" for design or development micro-projects to be worked on by a pre-vetted pool of students. Most projects are expected to take less than 20 hours. Examples include bug auditing, Wordpress site development, UX/UI design, or design for web or print collateral.

"Collegiate Code was created to help student developers gain some experience programming for real-world companies and for those companies to build a pipeline to the college market. Students are just as excited as the startups to begin these micro-projects. I am truly looking forward to seeing Collegiate Code help StartupCincy bring more students into the ecosystem", said Adam Shiffler, CEO of Collegiate Code.

During GCVA's Bounty Week, ten StartupCincy CTOs will submit bounties to the platform. Students will be connected with each startup starting on October 10th using Collegiate Code. Some bounties will be selected on October 21st to be featured and announced at LEAD Magazine's ComSpark event on October 26th at 1:00pm.

"Collegiate Code is at the forefront of connecting talented student developers with early stage companies who need project work completed in a timely, high-quality manner", said Mark Lacker, head of Miami University's Startup Track. "Connecting university talent to StartupCincy is a key initiative at Miami and we are excited about what Collegiate Code has built."

Following Bounty Week, GCVA will continue promoting Collegiate Code through its website as a mechanism for startups and students to work together.
