Follow on Google News | The Worlds Safest Skateboard for KidsThe ookkie™ is the worlds first 5 in 1 skateboard that revolutionises the way we get children into skateboarding. Getting on a board sooner and building key core skills, whilst making the process a safe and enjoyable experience.
By: Skate Innovation Pty Ltd Introducing the world's first and only true learner skateboard. Before the ookkie™ the only two ways for a child to learn to skateboard was by either an adult physically holding them and awkwardly shuffling along- side or going it alone. Until now these methods have failed in teaching children the fundamentals of skating being – balance, coordination and awareness. Many kids have a desire to skateboard from an early age however most are held back due to safety concerns. Skate innovation was born out of a desire to see kids learning to ride skateboards earlier and safer than ever before. Through extensive design and engineering the ookkie™ grew from concept to reality. A learning skateboard that significantly increases safety and helps to build the foundation of balance and coordination. The ookkie™ enables children to progress at their own pace and physically transforms along with them as their confidence and ability develops. The ookkie™ is a board that can physically transition through several stages from beginner to advanced. Incorporating handles for control and a rolling ball in the back to help parents maneuver around obstacles and corners. Beginner: With two adjustable handles an upper and lower, this phase allows the parent to utilize the upper handle to control both speed and direction whilst the lower handle adds a third point of contact for the rider to hold. This lower handle significantly increases stability and allows the rider to develop the fundamentals of skateboarding. Intermediate: Advanced: having graduated from the previous stage both handles are now fully removed and the rider is armed with all necessary skills to take it to the next level. They have developed their balance and coordination to the point where they can confidently skate unassisted and start focusing on trying to master more complicated maneuvers. www.skateinnovation.com www.facebook.com/ End
