FRISCO, Texas - Oct. 2, 2016 - PRLog -- Independence High School is proud to announce an upcoming production that tells one of the most famous stories that has ever been on stage.  Tony Award-winning Peter and the Starcatcher upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up (a.k.a. Peter Pan). A wildly theatrical adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson's best-selling novels, the play was conceived for the stage by directors, Roger Rees and Alex Timbers, and written by Rick Elice, with music by Wayne Barker. From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, Peter and the Starcatcher playfully explores the depths of greed and despair... and the bonds of friendship, duty and love. The students and staff in Knight Theatre at IHS hope to see you for any of their four performances of this brilliant show.  Show dates and times are:

-October 5th at 7 p.m.
-October 6th at 7 p.m.
-October 8th at 2 p.m.
-October 8th at 7 p.m.
Tickets are only $5 for students and $10 for adults.  Concessions will be available.  Please come see these fantastic student performers and technicians create magic for the stage!
