Rick is a serial entrepreneur. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Rick has been a lifelong tech enthusiast. After studying economics at Brigham Young University, Rick obtained a JD from Washington University School of Law. He worked for a global law firm and investment bank in Hong Kong before relocating with his family to Hawaii in 2008. Rick started his entrepreneurship early in life, selling golf balls out of his backyard to weekend duffers. Through college he arbitraged retail products through eBay, and in law school Rick founded a nonprofit focused on strengthening elementary education in the Philippines. In 2009, Rick started and grew a law firm specializing in consumer bankruptcy and financial resolution, where he assisted thousands of people in financial distress throughout the State of Hawaii. In 2014, he co-founded Pineapple Palaka, a luxury Hawaii-themed necktie company with products Nordstrom and in hotel gift shops. Rick's joy comes from spending time with his wife, Alicia, and three children in and around Hawaii's naturally beautiful oceans, beaches, and mountain trails. Our patent technology leverages artificial intelligence (AI) and cognitive computing as a key component of Reboot. We have tested our Reboot prototype with hundreds of high school football players in California and Hawaii and 92% of the players said they will use it to monitor and manage their concussion.
