Mark Jennings-Bates is putting it in to high gear for a full rally season in 2017

PEACHLAND, British Columbia - Sept. 28, 2016 - PRLog -- Jennings-Bates is no stranger to rally after having won multiple championships and spent a few years driving for the prestigious Bowler Offroad team that saw him training in Africa for the Dakar Rally with then co-driver, Mick Extence, Britain's top Dakar motorbike rider at the time.

For this event at least, Jennings-Bates will be taking a back seat to the competition but will be putting a new co-driver in the cockpit and using the recce portion of the event for some familiarization and training for his new co-driver.

"The awesome thing about rally is the chemistry between the co-driver and the driver has to be there for everything to work correctly. I have had a few co-drivers in the past who have been nothing short of amazing and the proof is in the results, but now it is turning in to a family affair" said Jennings-Bates.

The team is being supported once again by several local businesses including Valley Mitsubishi who were the first ever partner to support Jennings-Bates in his humble beginnings in 2005 with an older Mitsubishi Eclipse. In addition some larger international brand names have teamed up with the Rally4Life team for the 2017 season. Announcements of the partners will occur towards the end of the year and prior to the season start.

The team will be competing in a classic Mitsubishi Evo IV that is race tuned and has a history of competing in the US. While the competitive landscape has moved up a notch according to Jennings-Bates, he still believes he will be able to get back on the podium with what is likely to be one of the older cars on the circuit.
