New York Outdoor Writers Association (NYSOWA) Seeks Youths To Sponsor For NYSDEC Summer Camps

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. - Sept. 27, 2016 - PRLog -- Outdoor Writers, Outdoor Conservation Groups: Please Act Now! NYSDEC Camps fill up fast once open registration begins.

How the sponsorship Works: NYSOWA sponsors four youths ages 11-17 to attend NYSDEC's Summer Camps each calendar year. NYSOWA members are encouraged to not only promote and report on this program, but to seek candidates as well. The initial criteria is to solicit youths from families in your respective regions who are unable to afford the registration fee of $350. NYSOWA purchases activated codes from the DEC, which families then use for payment when signing up their child. The interacting NYSOWA member, or a member of the Scholarship Committee will assist you and the family with getting them registered.

We encourage outdoor writers through your writings to spark the interest and help identify interested youths/families and to offer a NYSOWA scholarship. If you have candidate submissions or any questions please contact Dan Ladd on the Scholarship committee via email: adkhunter@roadrunner.com  We will need to obtain name, address, phone number and e-mail of the parents of the child.

Registration will be in late January of 2017. Spots go fast so please encourage potential campers need to start planning now contact you before registration begins.
