Insights For Women In Business Free Event for Women Entrepreneurs
Keynote speaker Kelly Kolar of Kolar Design will offer inspiration and motivation to other women in business. As president and founder of Kolar Design in 1990, Kelly is proud to be among the 3% of women holding a top position in a male dominated industry. Following the keynote, a panel of women business owners in the region will share their insights on defining success, earning WBE certification, forging ahead in a male-dominated business and remaining innovative and energized when challenges and obstacles creep in. The panel includes:
Katie Gabbard, owner of The Ivy League Florist in Greenville
Margery Murphy, President of Acadia Lead Management Services
Lee VanArtsDalen, owner of Zombie Dogz
Lisa Crosley, President of EnviroControl Systems/Lifestyle Comfort Solutions
"This one-of-kind event brings together some of the top business resources and female business owners in the Dayton region," said Ann Riegle-Crichton, Dayton Metro Library Business Services Librarian. "Our dynamic speakers are eager to share their stories so others can learn from their successes and failures."
Dayton SCORE chairman Charles Anderson added, "Dayton SCORE is embarking on a new path in 2016, emphasizing teamwork. We're hoping the Insights event will make more women aware of the opportunities SCORE has to offer, for new business owners seeking a mentor and for those experienced women in business who have expertise to share."
Breakfast will be catered by Sweets on the Street, Corner Kitchen and Third Perk. The event is free, but registration is required and space is limited. Register through the Events Calendar at www.daytonchamber.org.
