LOS ANGELES - Sept. 24, 2016 - PRLog -- The Beauty in/Beauty Out Awards returns to the West Coast for the third straight year on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016 at The Los Angeles Theater Center in Downtown LA. BIBO was founded in 2012 by Traci S. Campbell and was created to celebrate and honor the life-changing and life-affirming contributions and success of women everywhere. Through education, events and campaigns, BIBO focuses on promoting, recognizing and celebrating the true beauty of women everywhere who are powerful role models for this generation, the next generation—and generations to come. BIBO recently launched its 501(c)(3) organization, The BIBO Foundation, which provides education, hands on support, and mentorship to women worldwide.

The presenters for the Los Angeles show are actresses Natasha Henstridge ("Species," "Ghosts of Mars"), Sondra Currie ("The Hangover," "The Hangover Part II"), Kiki Haynes (OWN's "Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse"), Lourdes Colon (creator of "Create Option C" and BIBO Awards 2015 alumna), actors Antwon Tanner ("One Tree Hill", "Coach Carter") Ro Brooks (OWN's "The Haves and the Have Nots"), Renee Lawless (OWN's "The Haves and the Have Nots"), Cassandra Cousineau ("The Sportsnista" Blogger & Author), Dr. Maurice Lee (Author, Founder of M.A. Lee Foundation), Dr. Sherrie Campbell (BIBO Awards 2015 alumna), Alan Santana (World Boxing Foundation). Brent Harvey (Founder of Hollywood Music in Media Awards) will MC the event.

Awards categories that celebrate the selfless works and draws attention to true women leaders and role models include Outstanding Entrepreneurship Awards ("Basketball Wives" star Patrice Curry, author Arlene Krantz, and filmmaker Rupa Dash); Amazing Overcomer Award (producer Angel Terron); Outstanding Film & Media Achievement Awards (actress Holly Fulger, director and writer Emily Dell, and singer & actress Chandra Currelley); 2016 BIBO Starlet Los Angeles Award (actress Isabella Briggs); Legacy of Beauty Award (Congresswomen Susan Davis); Outstanding Political Cause Leadership Award (Marlo Richardson - 2015 Gubernatorial Appointee by Governor Jerry Brown), and Outstanding Community Cause Leadership Award (Star Williams and Preeti Rai).

"This is a unique and different kind of award show where we celebrate the many facets of beauty each woman possesses, including her impact on her community, and honor much-needed female role models from various industries. In the current social climate, it is imperative that we acknowledge role models that can truly help the next generation" states Founder Traci S. Campbell.

The BIBO Awards will take place on Saturday, October 1st at The Los Angeles Theater Center located at 514 S. Spring St., Los Angeles, CA 90013. The show will start promptly at 5:30pm.
