Birla Academy of Art & Culture Presented 'Remembering the Legendary of M. F. Husain'

KOLKATA, India - Sept. 24, 2016 - PRLog -- Birla Academy of Art & Culture has recently presented an illustrated talk on 'Remembering the Legendary M. F. Husain'.

A Recent Event in Birla Academy

Very recently, an illustrated talk was organized in this cultural academy of Kolkata on M. F. Husain. He is a legend and has great contribution to Indian art. His paintings have received international acclamation. Husain is regarded as the 'Master of Contemporary Indian Art'.

Birla Academy made an attempt to portray this through their talk show. Their illustrative talk only tried to make Husain more familiar with common people.

Date, Time & Venue of the Talk: The event took place on September 9, 2016 Friday at 6.30pm in the auditorium of Birla Academy.

Who directed the talk: Tapati Guha Thakurta was the Director of the talk. She is an eminent Professor in History, Centre for Studies in Social Sciences, Calcutta.

Three documentary films followed this talk. Film Division of Govt. of India directed these three films. These films are:

i)          HUSAIN: Shanti P. Chaudhury was the director
Duration: 17 minutes

ii)          A PAINTER OF OUR TIME: Under direction of Shanti P. Chaudhury
Duration: 28 minutes

iii)          THROUGH THE EYES OF THE PAINTER: Maqbul Fida Husain was the director
Duration: 18 minutes

The documentaries were created with utmost care and under the supervision of expert directors. In fact, entire event clearly showcased the efforts every member had put in to bring life to the show on M. F. Husain.

The Academy invited everyone who loves to be associated with Indian art and culture or is great fans of M. F. Husain. This show was a great success and audiences have enjoyed being a part of it. This show appealed the artists and painters the most. After all, who will not like to know about a celebrated person like M. F. Husain?
