Libman Education Plans Reunion of CCS Exam Prep Students at 88th AHIMA Convention and Exhibit

BEDFORD, Mass. - Sept. 21, 2016 - PRLog -- A special reunion for Libman Education CCS Exam Prep grads is planned to take place at the 88th AHIMA Convention and Exhibit this October in Baltimore, MD. During the reunion, CCS Exam Prep instructor Mary Beth York plans to meet the alumni on Monday, October 17 at the Libman Education booth (#723). Two hundred twelve alumni from the years 2007-2016 have been invited.

"When we realized how many students had completed the CCS Exam Prep since our inception in 2007, we knew we had to take advantage of the upcoming convention to gather our alumni together," said Mary Beth York, CCS, CCS-P, CIC.  "The response thus far has been very exciting!  We look forward to seeing everyone in person and hearing how the CCS has influenced their career.  For many coding professionals, earning their CCS is the catalyst for real growth and opportunity."

The CCS credential is considered a "mastery" level certification for those with a thorough understanding of hospital inpatient and outpatient coding with hands-on hospital coding experience.  The exam is known to be difficult:  AHIMA reports an average 50% pass rate for those attempting the exam for the first time.

The small group CCS Exam Prep, usually limited to fewer than 15 students, combines online lectures, presentations, and practice exams with weekly live instructor-led virtual class sessions to provide a thorough review of the materials covered on the ICD-10-based CCS exam.  Mary Beth York, a nationally renowned CCS exam instructor, provides individual mentoring and coaching with proven test-taking strategies that have helped hundreds to achieve CCS success.
