Female Quartet Takes Top Honors At Season 9 Of The Prayze Factor People's Choice Awards in Atlanta

BALTIMORE - Sept. 21, 2016 - PRLog -- Season 9 of the Prayze Factor People's Choice Awards took place September 15th - 17th, 2016 at Overcomers Christian Fellowship in Lithonia, GA a suburb of Atlanta, and it was a weekend filled with the glitz, glamour and celebration of some of the best inspired gospel artists in the world.  The International Music Association (T.I.M.A.) was honored to present Gospel Recording Artists, Divine of Annapolis, with top honors as the grand finale' champions.

DiVine of Annapolis, MD was formed and started singing Gospel Music January, 1993. The group currently consists of Viola Johnson, Sharnae Wallace, Debra Robinson, Crystal Mackell, Patricia Whye-Samuel, Melvin Samuel, Horace Martin, Kenny Day, and Harold Sims.  All have been saved by the Marvelous Grace of Jesus Christ. DiVine is based out of Annapolis, Maryland. Our ministry is to let people know that Jesus is coming soon and you must be ready. Giving God Praise, seeing people saved, witnessing the rededication of souls, and the uplifting of hearts is our goal. Doing the will of God is what it's all about. We love the Lord and will continue to serve him without ceasing. DiVine has ministered in East Coast Cities from Connecticut to Georgia and has performed on such major events as the AFRAM, First Night Annapolis, Freedom Festival, the Gospel Music Awards in Augusta, GA, the Virginia State Parks Concert Series, The Black Engineers Awards, Another Level Gospel TV Show, East Coast Music Summit, Prestigious Newsome Awards, Allstate Gospel Superfest, and the Prayze Factor People's Choice Award Event in Atlanta, GA. DiVine was the recipient of the Prestigious Newsome Award for Female Gospel Group of the Year Award for 2014; The 2015 S&M Gospel Music Indie Award for Contemporary Female Group of the Year; and the 2015 Prayze Factor People's Choice Award for Female Quartet of the year.

Now as the season 9 Grand Champions of the Prayze Factor People's Choice Awards Divine of Annapolis are full time ambassadors of positive change and pure love in the gospel music industry...accepting and taking on the challenge of removing the word "indie" from the stamp of new artists which the movement now refers to as "inspired" artists up and coming in the gospel ranks and preparing to make a difference for generations to come.

The weekend of celebration also produced five other finalists on the platform representing various categories of performing arts ministry and yielded over all first place winner "The Gospel Starlights" (Tifton, GA), second place winners "Lisa Barron & Joyful Sounds" (Dallas, TX) and the MVP for season 9, Minnie Carter (Indian Head, MD).  The Spotlight Artist for season 9 was announced as well and that honor went to Janice Colvin (Brenham, TX).  The music was phenomenal and the competition was very powerful as every performer brought their "A" game to the platform truly making it hard for the judges to score top honorees.

Prayze Factor's power prayze weekend was filled with great performances by artists from Canada, Brazile, Jamaica, The Virgin Islands and all over the U.S. and included various categories/styles to include great christian comedy, dance, traditional gospel, reggae, urban gospel, holy hip hop, christian pop/rock, and much more.
