Masjid Rahmah Newark, NJ Denounces The Recent Bombings in New York & New Jersey

NEWARK, N.J. - Sept. 19, 2016 - PRLog -- In light of recent events in the New York and New Jersey area, the community of Masjid Rahmah in Newark, NJ is reaching out to the broader community to reiterate our condemnation and disavowal of terrorism in all forms as well as its sympathizers. Islam is a religion of intelligence and wisdom; we free ourselves from the reckless behavior of indiscriminate criminals who senselessly attack the innocent in the name of a religion that expressly prohibits such conduct. We are obligated religiously to hate such atrocities and desire that those who perpetrate them be brought to justice expediently.

   Those qualified, capable and knowledgeable are responsible for speaking against such heinous behavior. We speak frequently and candidly in our classes and sermons regarding the evils of terrorism and routinely warn against the ideologies that give birth to it; events like this only serve to bolster our efforts.  We reiterate our petition to the larger Muslim community to report all credible threats to the proper authorities.
