BrandStar Acquires the World's First All-Encompassing Travel Video Search Site, VideoGlobetrotter

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. - Sept. 20, 2016 - PRLog -- BrandStar, the producer of six award-winning shows on Lifetime® Television, has acquired VideoGlobetrotter (VGT), a travel video search site and online travel community.

Together, the duo is launching a new series of travel tips, which will air every Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. on The Balancing Act®. VGT will host the series as the show's travel expert, featuring selected destinations as the travel pick of the week.

This partnership is an extension of VGT's existing online model, which highlights leading destinations, hotels and attractions worldwide to help promote tourism. Visitors to the site can engage with other travel enthusiasts, share experiences and most notably, "look before they book", using VGT's extensive video library to explore the world virtually – without the lost luggage or jet lag.

VGT's innovative approach to travel research was the vision of Jill Liberman, an entrepreneur and published author.  Recognizing the power of videos in the digital space early on, Jill combined them with online travel to create VideoGlobetrotter.com. She launched the site in 2006.

"This newly formed partnership between VideoGlobetrotter and BrandStar is very exciting," said Jill. In addition to VGT and the roles listed above, Jill worked creatively behind the camera as an Executive Producer for programs airing on The Travel Channel, CNBC and The Food Network. She hosted the number one rated talk show on WAXY radio, and co-hosted the television pilot, Thicke and Jill, with actor Alan Thicke. For the past four years, Jill has judged the Stevie awards recognizing women in business, and continues to act as a champion for female entrepreneurs today. Currently, she works with BrandStar as a VP of Programming, helping the team there bring her online community to television audiences across the country.
