Paradise Living Centers Adds Medication Management Program

PHOENIX - Sept. 19, 2016 - PRLog -- Phoenix-based luxury assisted living provider, Paradise Living Centers recently installed a state-of-the-art Electronic Medication Administration Record (e-MAR) system to enhance the premium care services included at the company's group homes located in the Central Phoenix and Paradise Valley areas. The system allows its certified caregivers to electronically track the medical needs of each resident and ensure proper medication dosages are administered at all times.

The implementation of the e-MAR system was spearheaded by Licensed Practical Nurse, Tracy Strand. Strand has worked in the assisted care industry for more than three decades and is the full-time, 24/7 on-call nurse at Paradise Living Centers.

"It's a very well-rounded program that ties all aspects of care into one comprehensive system, which helps mitigate the risks that can come from a change in medication or a resident's health management needs," explains Strand. "You might find a similar system at a larger assisted living community, but it is rare to find services like we offer in a smaller group home."

When a resident is administered medication, it is recorded through the e-MAR, giving Strand and the staff a real time record. As part of ongoing care, the system allows Strand to also pull reports so she is able to monitor and assess each resident carefully and provide feedback to their family members and primary care physicians.
