America's Most-Liked Wrestling (AML) will make its Lexington, NC debut when they present AML Wrestling Presents: Friends & Foes on September 24 at North Davidson High School located at 7227 Old US 52 in Lexington, NC 27295.  This event is a tv taping to benefit the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics North Carolina.

Here is the official preview of the event, which includes three huge title matches and much more.

King Shane Williams w/Queen Taylor (C) vs Damien Wayne for the AML Wrestling Championship

King Shane narrowly defeated WWE Superstarstar Cedric Alexander at Second to None.  In what was clearly his toughest challenge since he won the championship in April, he countered Alexander's Lumbar Check attempt into a crucifix pin, allowing him to escape with the title.  Damien Wayne is the former AIWF World Champion and former NWA National Champion and presents a formidable challenge to the "King."" Wayne is far more violent a brawler than Alexander or any of Williams' other challengers not named Vordell Walker, but Wayne has been on an AML losing streak lately, losing several matches to his nemesis, Zane Dawson.  Queen Taylor's influence on the outside is a possible factor, but expect the experienced Wayne to not allow her to distract him.  This match looks like it will be a war of attrition, and it will rely on Williams' superior stamina to outlast Wayne's powerful attacks.  The match looks like a coin flip to me.

The Geordie Bulldogs (Sean Denny and Mark Denny)  (C) vs. The Heat Seekers (Elliot Russell and Sigmon) w/Baby Doll in a street fight for the AML Wrestling Tag Team Championship

This feud reached a more violent height at Second to None when, after the HeatSeekers were disqualified for using Jimmy Hart's megaphone as a weapon, they attacked both Mark and Sean Denny after the match, hitting both men with spike piledrivers.  AML Wrestling Director Of Operations Brian Hawks ordered this match and declared it would be a Lexington Street Fight for the championship.  Without tags, this Texas tornado - style match will benefit the team that uses the unfamiliar environment the best.  The HeatSeekers' slight-of-hand isn't a strength when the rulebook gets thrown out the window, but Senior Official James Hunter won't be able to save the Bulldogs if some of Sigmon and Russell's skullduggery repeats itself.  Crockett Promotions legend Baby Doll (former manager of Dusty Rhodes, Tully Blanchard, the Barbarian, Larry Zbyzsko, and many others) has been hired by the HeatSeekers to manage them, replacing the deposed Jimmy Hart.  Her experience and deviousness definitely give the former champions an edge.  The Bulldogs will have the crowd behind them, but the HeatSeekers are by far their toughest foes to date.

Darius Lockhart vs. Jordan Kage for the AML Wrestling Prestige Championship

Lockhart shocked the wrestling world by winning the fatal four-way at Second to None to advance to the finals in his AML Wrestlingdebut.  This 21-year-old wrestling prodigy boasts an international training background, having spent a year in Great Britain learning the European style of wrestling up close.  Lockhart is a budding star, but there isn't a wrestler on the roster who is on as much of a positive roll as Jordan Kage, who continued his winning streak by winning his fatal four way with his devastating "Fuzzy 8x10" 2nd rope piledriver finisher.  The winner becomes the AML Wrestling Prestige Champion, as the belt was vacated by former champion Cedric Alexander in August.

Zane Dawson w/George South vs. C.W. Anderson in a Tables Match

Dawson believes he should be in line for a shot at the AML Wrestling Championship, but the repeated interference of George South in his matches has caused AML Wrestling's Director Of Operations Brian Hawks to order this tables match with one stipulation: that George South is banned from ringside.  Dawson defeated Anderson last month with George South's help.  Can he beat him without assistance?

Scott's pick: Anderson wins. The "Enforcer's" "iron" left hand, superkick, and spinebuster are all too much for Dawson's lariat.  Without George South at ringside, CW should be able to win it.

Caleb Konley vs. Chance Prophet

This is the ultimate contrast in styles, as the high-flying athlete Conley will match up with the brute force and unpredictable behavior of the face-painted wild man Prophet.  Both men would like to see a title shot in the near future, so a victory here will be helpful to bolster either man's title chances.

The Young Lions (Lex Lee and Kevin Kaufman) vs. The Mega Plowers (Chris Kahn and Jock Samson)

The Lions get another chance to impress after losing their match last month.  Both teams would like to be in the AML Tag Team Championship picture.  More than that, I expect this to be an entertaining match as the throwback Mega Plowers introduce themselves to a North Carolina audience.

White Mike (w/The Tommy Thomas) vs. Joey Rogers vs. Cam Carter

The Tommy Thomas has a new client in "White Mike," who was last seen in "Future Stars of AML Wrestling" matches.  It will be interesting to see what Thomas is able to do for the brash White Mike as he does battle against Joey Rogers and Cam Carter in a Triple Threat Match to prove who deserves a spot on the main AML Wrestling roster.

Limited tickets are still available on OR at the door the night of the event while they last.  If you buy a seat in rows 1, 2, or 3, you'll also get at least two "Future Stars of AML" matches as an added bonus.  You don't want to miss this event!
