City View Pharmacy's Community Wellness Program™ presents Free/ No Cost* Mammogram Event

ASTORIA, N.Y. - Sept. 19, 2016 - PRLog -- City View Pharmacy's Community Wellness Program™ will host its 4th annual Free Mammogram/Breast Cancer Screening Event at City View Pharmacy  on Saturday, November 19, 2016.

An  appointment is required and will be taken through October, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To be eligible for a screening, women must be:

1) a NYC resident;

2) age 40 or older WITH health insurance; OR age 50 or older WITHOUT health insurance;

3) and have not had a mammogram in the past year.

Screenings take place inside The American Italian Cancer Foundation's Mobile Mammogram Unit which will be located outside City View Pharmacy at 23-07 Astoria Boulevard in Astoria, NY. Women can register for an appointment by calling City View Pharmacy at 718-545-2550 OR they may sign up online at http://www.cityviewpharmacy.com. Appointments are limited and given on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Those interested are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible.

We have seen that by hosting this event on a Saturday, we can reach many women at a time that's convenient for them, and also that promoting the event is a reminder for all women in the area to schedule their annual mammogram."
