WASHINGTON - Sept. 16, 2016 - PRLog -- The Healthcare Billing and Management Association (HBMA) is excited to host the new Healthcare Revenue Cycle Conference this fall in Atlanta, Georgia. Taking place September 21 – 23 at the Omni Atlanta Hotel, the conference will be one of the largest nationwide gatherings of revenue cycle professionals.

Formally the HBMA Fall Conference, HBMA 2016: The Healthcare Revenue Cycle Conference features educational content around successful operations and exceptional performance for individuals in the revenue cycle management industry and revenue cycle companies of all sizes. The conference includes two tracks—Operations and Management—to encourage operational staff as well as owners, executives, and managers to take advantage of the multiple sessions offered.

Conference sessions place emphasis on the issues revenue cycle professionals address daily in the various facets of the revenue cycle, including: payment models, performance management, operational efficiencies, offshore management, denials, coding and documentation, data, and best practices.

Keynote speaker, Mark Anderson, CPHIMS, FHIMSS, will focus on value-based reimbursement and its specific impact on technology, reporting, fee for service, and model successes and failures in his keynote presentation, How Value-Based Reimbursement Will Affect HBMA Members.

"We are excited to continue to meet the needs of the revenue cycle industry," stated HBMA President, Holly Louie. "HBMA 2016 will offer more ways for attendees to learn, engage, and connect with their peers from across the country. The conference is shaping up to be the best yet—surpassing the 2015 Fall Conference's attendance to date."

HBMA now offers two types of membership, individual membership with benefits for one healthcare revenue cycle management professional and corporate membership which provides benefits to an entire organization.

Conference attendees are eligible to receive 11.5 Certified Healthcare Billing & Management Executive (CHBME) Credits for the conference and an additional 4 CHBME Credits are available for the pre-conference workshops. The program has been approved for 16 American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) continuing education units and has prior approval for 15 AAPC continuing education hours.
