Civil Air Patrol 75th Birthday Celebration

RENO, Nev. - Sept. 14, 2016 - PRLog -- On December 1, 1941, one week before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Civil Air Patrol was founded by citizens committed to using civilian aviation resources to help bolster the nation's defense. Today, Civil Air Patrol supports America's communities with emergency response, diverse aviation and ground services, youth development, and promotion of air, space, and cyber power.

Civil Air Patrol is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2016 and invites the public to share in morning festivities, which starts Sunday, September 18 at 8:30am. Join us for complimentary coffee, bagels, and other morning goodies. It's also free of charge and no need to rsvp. The event will be followed by a number of experts, leaders, and enthusiast addressing aviation heritage!

The popular Heritage area of the Reno-Stead Airport has transformed into 81,000 square feet of learning space throughout the entire week at the Air Races. Everyone is invited to visit the Aviation Learning Center.

The Aviation Learning Center is an extraordinary destination at the 2016 National Championship Air Races, September 14-18. The Center features classes, demonstrations, speakers, and career connections, to inform and engage all air race patrons. Patrons will leave far more informed, engaged, emotionally invested, and inspired in the world of aviation.
