7 Hills Hand Car Wash To Host Community Event On Sept. 16 To Honor Police

Event will feature food trucks, games, classic carshow; proceeds to help police families

LAS VEGAS - Unity seems to be the thing we as a nation and a community need more than ever, but are getting less of.

Civil unrest as it pertains to our law enforcement is a forefront issue today, but regardless of the many demonstrations and whichever side of the fence you stand on, we all want the same result for those who put their lives on the line every day: fairness, equality and safety. We also want our police officers to not only stay safe, but also to feel appreciated for their day-to-day sacrifices.

On Friday, Sept. 16, 7 Hills Hand Car Wash will be throwing a fun-filled community event at its Henderson location, with proceeds from its carwash, merchandise and food sales going to two worthy law enforcement beneficiaries -- Concerns of Police Survivors and Injured Police Officers Fund -- both of which help ease the financial burden suffered by police officers' families in the event of a line of duty injury or death. Both also offer scholarships for the children of injured and fallen officers, as well as necessary counseling.

The event, which runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with feature food trucks, bounce houses, a petting zoo, midway games and, of course, top quality hand car washes.

Other local businesses will be on hand to provide services and to show of unity and appreciation for our local law enforcement and their families.

In addition to the activities, 7 Hills Hand Car Wash has also created the "Unity Bracelet," a multicolor rubber bracelet with the word "Unity" imprinted on it, serving as a reminder that no matter the background, race, or social stigma, we are all one loving community. The rubber material of the "Unity" band serves an appropriate anecdote -- our community bond may be stretched at times, but we won't break.

The bracelets will be available in all sizes and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to C.O.P.S. and I.P.O.F.
