Award-winning Author, Deborah Hopkinson, Celebrates Book Launch with Internet Blog Tour

WEST LINN, Ore. - Sept. 13, 2016 - PRLog -- Award-winning author Deborah Hopkinson is celebrating the release of her new nonfiction work for young readers, Dive! World War II Stories of Sailors & Submarines in the Pacific, with a blog tour September 26-October 7, 2016. Blog tours allow authors/illustrators, students, educators and book lovers to connect "virtually" through interviews on websites, podcasts, blog sites and on-line radio shows. Dive!, a Junior Library Guild selection, has received starred reviews from Kirkus, Horn Book, and Booklist.

"This December marks the 75^th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, which devastated the Pacific Fleet and transformed the role of submarines in the war in the Pacific," said Hopkinson. "I hope young readers (and their parents) will enjoy learning more about some of the men and their boats who were part of this incredible story."

DEBORAH HOPKINSON has written more than 45 books for young readers. Hopkinson, whose 2015 title, Courage & Defiance, won this year's nonfiction Oregon Spirit Award from the Oregon Council of Teachers of English (OCTE), will be presenting at the OCTE conference on October 8.
