Detroit Confectionery to Launch New Detroit Truffles

DETROIT - Sept. 13, 2016 - PRLog -- The Detroit Marshmallow Co.announces the launch of their new line of confections, Detroit Chocolate Truffles, just in time for fall holiday gift giving. Think the flavors in their Detroit marshmallow line, infused into dark, milk, and white chocolate and coated in nuts, fruit powders and more chocolate.

"We started experimenting with truffles about a year ago and found that, much like our marshmallows, chocolate truffles are also a fabulous vehicle for both our simple and complex flavor profiles," says Michele Bezue, owner of The Detroit Marshmallow Co., "We unexpectedly found ourselves with a great opportunity to open a pop-up shop near the marshmallow shop just in time for the fall holiday season, so decided this was the right time to launch."

Michele is hosting a truffle tasting where guests can get a preview of creamy chocolate truffles in flavors like the best-selling Rock City aka Faygo Rock n Rye, Hibiscus Darjeeling, Earl Grey Whiskey Sour, Socra Tea's Campfire, a smoky milk chocolate truffle with a surprise vanilla bean marshmallow in the middle, coated in our handmade grahams, and even a Detroit BBQ truffle. New to the lineup are seasonal flavors like apple pie, sweet potato cheesecake and cranberry sauce and Detroit Cooler, a Vernor's white chocolate truffle. Pre-orders for Sweetest Day, Halloween, National Chocolate Day, and even Christmas and Hanukkah will be available.
