Celebrate the Holidays at National Harbor

Tree lighting ceremony to be held on Sunday, November 13; Santa and performers on Saturdays beginning November 19 through December 18

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. - Sept. 13, 2016 - PRLog -- National Harbor announced that their annual tree lighting ceremony will take place on Sunday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m. followed by a light show and fireworks, performance by the Radio King Orchestra and Santa at the Capital Wheel.

It's a packed day with a Capital Wheel ticket giveaway from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., performance by a military band at noon and then the showing of the movie "Prancer" at 2 p.m. From 2 to 4 p.m., there will be a card making activity for deployed troops. Street performers will be wandering throughout National Harbor from 2 to 8 p.m. as well as the roaming Victorian carolers from 4 to 5 p.m.  Santa will make an initial appearance at The Black Dog (retailer at National Harbor, 141 Waterfront St.) from 3 to 5 p.m. and then he'll head over to the Capital Wheel, where kids can see him at 7:30 p.m.

Other holiday events at National Harbor begin on November 19 and run on Saturdays through December 18 and include street performers from noon to 2 p.m. as well as Santa at the National Carousel and then at the Capital Wheel from 2 to 4 p.m.  Additional performers will be on the main stage at the waterfront plaza (157 National Plaza, National Harbor, Md. 20745) from 1 to 2 p.m. and include Candy Cane Lane, Frosty Follies, a local choir and more.  Holiday movies run on Saturdays from 2 to 4 p.m. and include "The Santa Clause," "Elf," "Jack Frost" and "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas."
