GLENDALE, Calif. - Sept. 12, 2016 - PRLog -- Fifty laurels in a year's time is quite an achievement for any indie film. But when it's a film like Seeking Valentina, that number becomes even more incredible. Seeking Valentina follows Benjamin, a writer, in the pangs of grief. When Benjamin takes in a whimsical and an engaging tenant named Valentina (Kristin West) and she mysteriously disappears, it is for the audience to decide if she is a ghost, a hallucination, a dream or a runaway.  Enigmatic and Lynchian, Seeking Valentina was cast against type, using actors who you would normally think of as character types as leads. That combined with an ending that asks as many questions as it answers, makes for some truly avant garde cinema. Instead, Seeking Valentina has received tremendous critical acclaim worldwide. Regarding his film's recent successes both in the U.S. and abroad, Nasseri says, "I am very honored for the recognition the film has received and excited to screen this film at the Glendale International Film Festival."  Kristin West, award-winning actress and producer, said "The success of this film continues to amaze me.  I am so grateful to everyone involved in the project who helped bring Armin's vision to life and to the indie film community for embracing this project."

Seeking Valentina, a psychological thriller short that has screened world-wide, has been nominated for two prestigious awards at the Glendale International Film Festival.  Written and directed by Armin Nasseri, Seeking Valentina was produced by and stars Kristin West (Rachel Dratch's Late Night Snack, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Hell's Kitty).   The film has been nominated for Best Short Film.  Director Armin Nasseri has been tapped as a nominee for Best Los Angeles Filmmaker.

Seeking Valentina will also make its debut in Arkansas at the Hot Springs Horror Film Festival this October.  Founded by horror luminary and scream queen Tamara Glynn (Halloween 5), Hot Springs Horror Film Festival will feature cinematic giants such as Alan Howarth (Star Trek, Halloween) and Marlon Schulman, founder of the Horror Equity Fund.  " I am so honored that Tamara Glynn has invited us to screen at her amazing festival, among so many other outstanding films, "said Nasseri."Halloween 5: The Return of Michael Myers, has always been one of my favorites in the series. I thought Tamara did an excellent job as Samantha. She is an actress I have always been dying to meet, so this is a double honor for me."

Seeking Valentina is scheduled to screen at the Hot Springs International Horror Film Festival Saturday September 24 at 2pm at the Historic Central Theater. located at 1008 Central Ave in Hot Springs National Park, AR.  It continues its festival run at the Glendale International Film Festival on October 4, 2016, screening at 3 PM, at the Americana at Brand..
