FPANJ's John Crosby to Receive National Recognition for Advocacy Efforts

The Financial Planning Association will recognize Crosby at their national conference with the Heart of Financial Planning Award.
 
MONTCLAIR, N.J. - Sept. 10, 2016 - PRLog -- The Financial Planning Association of New Jersey (FPANJ) is pleased to announce that another of their members will be recognized at the national level for their dedication and involvement in elevating the profession and their clients' experience with a Heart of Financial Planning Award. The ceremony will take place during FPA's national conference in Baltimore Sept. 14 - 16, 2016.

John Crosby, CFP®, ChFC, CLTC, CRPC, is FPANJ's Advocacy Chairperson and was nominated for his work in state/federal advocacy and financial literacy. He is the managing director of Individual Financial Services, LLC in Middletown, NJ. Crosby spearheads the chapter's Grassroots Advocacy Associates Network, New Jersey State Capitol Events, and has participated in FPA Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C.

John's advocacy and financial planning skills along with his legislator and business relationships led to the Senate Majority Leader, Senator Stephen Sweeney, to ask John to serve on a special panel to address several financial issues including; The Secure Choice Savings Act, financial literacy, financial fraud, and estate and inheritance tax issues. He has also developed a key relationship with the state office of AARP where he has participated in financial literacy events.

The 2016 Heart of Financial Planning Award recognizes individual professionals, financial planning firms, and organizations that engage in extraordinary work, contributing and giving back to the planning community and public through financial planning. Recipients embody the spirit of financial planning and also represent FPA's Core Values.
