U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Congressman Keith Ellison (D-MN), Seventh Generation founder Jeffrey Hollender, Geraldine Moriba, VP of Diversity & Inclusion for CNN Worlwide, Earth Friendly Products CEO Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks, and Dr. Bronner's CEO David Bronner will speak at an event for business people who care about sustainability and want to advocate for change to promote a more sustainable economy.

The American Sustainable Business Council's 5th Annual Business Policy Summit -SUSTYBIZ16, Sept. 25-27, 2016, in Washington, DC, offers informative seminars and workshops as well as meetings on Capitol Hill and the White House, all designed to enable business owners and executives to engage in the policy process.

Looking Beyond the Elections

The theme for this year's event is, "Looking Beyond the Elections." The program covers a range of issues, from Climate Change, Sustainable Agriculture and Safer Chemicals to High Road Workplace practices and Women & Equity. Participants will also meet with Congressional members and staff as well as Administration officials who are interested in the concerns of responsible business leaders. The Summit offers an insider's view into how policy gets made and the impact your business can have on the outcome.

ASBC's 5th Annual Business Policy Summit will be held September 25-27, Hyatt Regency Hotel on Capitol Hill, 400 New Jersey Avenue, N.W. in Washington, DC. The program features an opening reception, Sunday, September 25, 6:00 to 8:00pm. Plenary and Breakout sessions are on Monday, September 26, 8:30am to 5:30pm, and in the evening, 6:00 to 9:00 pm will be a Gala Reception & Dinner. On Tuesday, September 27, 9:00am to 5:00pm are Lobbying on Capitol Hill and Meetings at the White House.
