RolePages Surpasses 20,000 Member Mark

ATLANTA - Sept. 7, 2016 - PRLog -- RolePages, the storytelling social network that lets members create interactive works of fiction in real time, has just surpassed the 20,000 member mark. This sets them as one of the largest narrative based role playing communities still in existence. At the same time they are setting record numbers for live action events, with an average of 2 taking place per week for the last 6 months.

RolePages just celebrated its 7th year in existence this past June, with a live 4 day interactive writing marathon that featured DM led events ranging across a variety of story worlds, all connected by a central theme. The event was participated in by over 100 players, and ended up accounting for nearly 12,000 lines of text all told. This was followed by an explosion of fan created story arcs, which have led to the current heavy use of the site.

The website was created back in 2009 as a successor to TrueLore, a website based on real life paranormal encounters and discussions. The format was derived through players who expressed an interest in a dedicated community for fictional storytelling using traditional social networking outlets. Since then the community has thrived, developing over 3,000 separate groups and writing more than 9,000 original blog post stories.
