RALEIGH, N.C. - Sept. 7, 2016 - PRLog -- The Southern Ideal Home Show, the Triangle's largest home and garden event happening Sept. 23-25 at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds, is a three-day showcase featuring more than 300 top area professionals in home and garden. While there are hundreds of reasons to come to the show, here are the top 10:

1.       One of the headliners of the show will be Boyce Thompson, author of The New New Home, presenting 10 of the most innovative new home products for 2016. Many of the products are easy for homeowners to install themselves and include robots that monitor indoor air pollution, 3D printers that print actual homes, countertops that charge phones and more. Guests will be able to tour an interactive exhibit where they can touch and try these life-changing products.

2.       In addition to the cutting-edge home items, the Showcase of Local Artists will make its debut at the fall show. Featured artists include: Simone Barbe, Kimberly Edwards, Dale Edwards, Karen Furman, Celtic Pottery Studio, Debby Loflin, Setton McGlennon, J&M Copper Art, Allan Montague, Mike Shinn and Lisa Skeen. Held in the Exposition Center, show guests can shop and support the artists by taking home one-of-a-kind pieces.

3.       Back by popular demand, Brews and Bites, where guests can enjoy locally-crafted beers with savory foods created by top chefs and businesses in the Triangle, is returning to the show for a fourth time. Participating restaurants and breweries include: Adams Vineyards, b. Good, Big Boss Brewery, Bull City Ciderworks, Capital City Chophouse, City Barbeque, Fogwood Foods, White Street Brewing and Zoe's Kitchen.

4.       Tiny houses are one of the most popular trends in home design today. Guests can tour a state-of-the-art, modern tiny house from Buck Stove Tiny Houses at the fall show. These houses come fully furnished and include all appliances, a deck and a fire pit.

5.       Partners in Design, a group of local interior design resources, will showcase ideas in traditional interior design and current trends. The group, coordinated by Marie Martin of MPM Designs, also includes retired interior designer Lisa Welde, Catherine Merriman of Raleigh Orchids, Cynthia Brooks, antique dealer, and many others.  Browse the group's beautiful room displays, created with new furniture, as well as vintage, refurbished and repurposed pieces.
