WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. - Sept. 6, 2016 - PRLog -- One of the originators of the Beatles at the Ridge Authors and Artists Symposium, noted author Lanea Stagg, will be returning to the Ridge for the fourth time 16-17 September. Stagg, known for her Recipe Records Series of rock'n'roll cookbooks incorporating recipes with music history, trivia, and stories, will be the Grand Finale Speaker for the Ridge this year. She will close the day's festivities with a British Tea, featuring her recipe for scones and lemon curd – both found in her latest book, Recipe Records: A Culinary Tribute to The Beatles.

Stagg has invited several other noted artists to assist her with the traditional 4 p.m. tea time at the Ridge. She is working closely with Ruth and Angie McCartney (Paul's half-sister and stepmother) to serve McCartney's Teas at the event. Furthermore, Angie McCartney has been invited to address the tea with a special taped message for all attendees that day, which will be shown on multiple screens around the room. "I was fortunate to be able to acquire McCartney's Teas for sale after the party," Stagg told us. "Taking one of these wonderful teas home will be a special way to remember an incredible afternoon!"

Also making the British tea extremely special will be the live music that will be performed by gifted West Memphis teen artist, Cameron Hicks. Stagg will be talking to the group about favorite foods that The Beatles consumed in The Jacaranda (jam butties), The Cavern Club (nudgers and soup), and on the road (jackets), so Hicks will perform several songs from those early days in The Beatles' career, songs seldom heard by standard Beatles cover bands. "We want to offer something 'off the beaten path,'" Stagg explained. "Something unique for our tea party!"

Finally, Stagg has invited a very special "secret guest" from Louise Harrison's Beatles tribute band, "Liverpool Legends," who may appear during the afternoon's festivities. Photo opportunities will be abundant during the festival's culminating event.

"We're all thrilled to have Lanea back with us for a fourth year," Mayor Charles Snapp, founder and director of Beatles at the Ridge Festival commented. "I was privileged to see Lanea speak at the GRAMMY Museum® of Mississippi Beatles Symposium and was so impressed with what she does! It's an honor to have her take part in what Walnut Ridge does to raise money for our community and to keep the community vibrant. Lanea has a big heart and is one vivacious lady!" Stagg has been a Guest Presenter not only at the GRAMMY Museum Mississippi Beatles Symposium but also at the Fest for Beatles Fans in New York and Chicago, and at Abbey Road on the River.

Stagg's original cookbook, Recipe Records, covered the full gamut of music from the 1940s to today, but her two latest cookbooks, Recipe Records: The Sixties Edition and Recipe Records: A Culinary Tribute to The Beatles both zeroed in on the theme of Beatles at the Ridge 2016: "Influences on The Beatles." Therefore, featuring fun facts about the Motown groups, Memphis Soul bands, Louisiana Jazz artists, and other American groups who played enormous roles in the development of the Fab Four, Stagg will talk to tea-goers about some of the most American pervasive influences on John, Paul, George, and Ringo.

Stagg's British tea will take place from 4-5 p.m. in The Studio on Main Street, Walnut Ridge, AR on Saturday, 17 September. The event is free to the public, and will culminate in a book signing. Stagg will not only have her Recipe Records Series books on hand for attendees, but she will also have her heart-touching children's books, Little Dog in the Sun and Little Dog about Town, as well. All five books will be available at special, reduced rates for Beatles at the Ridge.
